Proto 51 may be a familiar one to some, once known as the Addax from Wild Discs, it now sits awaiting a new utilization one day, sooner or later. Crafted to be similar in feel to the Gateway Element, this mold offers one unique trait on the bottom in the form of a double bead; this unusual feature in tandem with a slightly deeper rim means you can expect a flight pattern with more high-speed stability and a more pronounced finish as the disc slows in rotation, so if you've ever wanted to try a slightly-more-beefy Element, look no further!

This prototype is a unique top part and a unique bottom part (not on any other discs) with a putter deep core. The mold parts have since been altered and these will not be produced again.

This prototype is a unique top part and the bottom is an altered version of the Prototype 32 wing. The Prototype 32 wing bead was trimmed down to make the bottom part of this disc.

Our journey began in 2006, when we partnered with Steve Pearson and Quest Technology, releasing the Odyssey Overmolded series as Gateway Quest—a breakthrough that spanned from putters to drivers.

By naming this new control driver “Odyssey,” we honor the legacy of innovation Steve and I embarked on together, paving the way for future advancements.

This prototype represents more than just a step forward—it’s part of the continuous evolution of disc design. It’s a look behind the curtain, showing players how a concept becomes reality. This disc is not the final product; it’s an integral part of a greater story unfolding.
