Dave McCormack Inducted into the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame

In October 2021, Gateway founder David McCormack received one of the sport’s highest honors — induction into the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame. Recognized as part of the Class of 2021 at the USDGC, Dave’s career spans decades of shaping disc golf through innovation, course design, and community building.

From launching iconic discs like the Wizard putter to designing more than 90 courses nationwide, Dave’s impact has been felt by players at every level. His World Hall of Fame honor followed his induction into the Missouri Disc Golf Hall of Fame’s inaugural class in 2016, underscoring his influence both locally and globally.

At Gateway, we’re proud to see our founder’s vision honored on a global stage. This milestone is not only a recognition of Dave’s past contributions, but also an inspiration for the next generation of disc golfers and course designers.
